Why can't I watch official music videos on my iPod?

I try to watch the videos on my YouTube app but it says it can't be uploaded... So I try to get on my safari and then google video and then it says that I need to upload the adobe flash player. I try that and they have no option to download for an iPod... Are the people of apple seriously just trying to torment us with this?!?! :/
