CAN ANYONE IDENTIFY THIS SALAMANDER?

It is black, with a dark tan underbelly. It is 18" - 2ft long. It has very small forelegs and backlegs. The face is rounded and the tail tapers. It was found in the swampy area close to Galveston Texas. I do have a photograph.
