Opinion on how to train to be off leash?

IMO you train on leash all commands and then you train off leash in an enclosed area. So a yard that is fenced would be a perfect place to start doing the commands off leash. You don't wan a dog park as its far too much room. Start small till the dog is reliable.

I know His character and am becoming more and more confident of His love and His goodness. When others distort His character, say things about Him that are not true ...I know Him. My puppy won't stand up and is lethargic... what's going on?

My puppy is 10 months old and he is pretty active. However, just this evening, he started acting very odd. He looked rather depressed, despite the fact that all day today he was happy. He couldn't climb up the stairs, where he was perched on the middle step. He wouldn't stand up when we interacted with him, and when we helped him up, he could barely stand properly on his back legs. He didn't yelp, whine, or act aggressive in any way. He had his tail between his legs but he could stand on his own. He refused to walk or go outside, and as soon as he was up, he lay back down, acting depressed again. We felt his tummy, looked at his gums, and felt the rest of his body for any other signs of trauma or swelling. His muscles around his abdomen and leg area were somewhat tense, which caused us to look at signs of bloat. He does not seem to have that. In fact, he seemed to have a good appetite, eating his food and drinking some water. We suspect that he has a muscle injury, but we are unsure, as he does not act as if he is in pain, other than the fact that he looks very depressed with his tail between his legs. He will not straighten his hind legs all the way when we massage the seemingly injured area. Is this a muscle injury, or is it something else? Should he be taken to the veterinarian, or just observed and rested for awhile?

For me personally if I have a dream that I remember clearly I usually look for deeper meanings even though that I know deep down that they are usually random and don't mean anything. Depending on your outlook on life I say that you should keep doing good deeds and helping others in need. There are not too many people like that in the world and we could always need more people to help out those in need. Who knows maybe your kind deeds may be rewarded someday.

Like now, I decided to wear a really pretty cute summery outfit today. I'll be home all day, just taking care of our daughter and it's my husband's day off so he's working out in his gym room in our basement. Best way to shave bikini line?

I wait until my disgusting bikini line is long enough to shave so that it doesn't scrape my skin half to death, then i shave it after soaking it in warm water and coating it in some conditioner (unscented, not the flowery stuff that irritates sensitive skin). I shave carefully and don't go over it over and over, and I use store brand little razors but not old gross ones that have been used too many times. And my bikini line is still red bumped and has its own version of a five oclock shadow after a couple hours. What do I do? I can't keep suffering through the whole ten-days-of-prep before I get into a bathing suit. It's depressing.

Split a room, is it fair?

I am 13 and my little sister is 9. We have shared a room as long as I can remember, and now that I am getting older I realized I want a room to myself, to have a private place that I can be in without my little sister always barging into the room because it is 'her room too'. So, we have a very large gameroom. It was supposed to be a garage when the builders were making our house, but my parents decided to move our garage to a different place. It's well over 20x25 feet in size. Practically ALL of my sister stuff is in the gameroom except for her bed and a couple of random items. (we have a bunk bed) I asked my mom if she could just make the gameroom her official room, but she said no because it is "Everybodies" room because our Wii is in there and supposedly when our friends come over they all have to sleep in there, even when we normally sleep in the living room. But anyways, I have a new idea. If I could turn half, or even a third, of the gameroom into her room, there would still be a very large area left in the gameroom, AND I could move my little sister in there. We could divide it by curtains, which are very inexpensive, and which I would pay for. I would give her the whole bunk bed and the dresser, and the nightstand, for her new 'room'. (Because, after all, they are all flowery and girly which I liked when I was 5 but now loathe) I'd just have the matress and bedding. I would be fine with the matress and bedding, and there is also a bookshelf and desk with my computer on it in my room. (my sister has her own computer in the gameroom, and multiple shelves with her toys) Is this fair? I am going to tell my mom and sister about this, and how it will be free for them becuase I will pay for everything, but I wanted some advice on this first. It sounds pretty fair to me, but what do you guys think?

Cat with paralyzed back legs.?

My cat "Princess Renee" is 15 years old August 6th. Just last night she was perfectly healthy and active. However, i was woken up this morning to my boyfriend telling me something was wrong. She could not feel or move her hind legs or her tail. She is still alive but is now hiding from me and her breathing is getting heavier. Both of my dogs started acting funny in the back yard. First the 3 yr old by walking out like she was scared she would step in something. Then my 5 month old puppy was out playing during the day and she started barking. She has barked at the neighbors before but this barking continued. I have very, very bad anxiety over my appearance, I dont find myself an attractive person. I used to, but the anxiety got worse and has changed my total perception of myself. Introducing my dog to my kitten? helphelphelp?

I just recently got a lovely little maine coon kitten. a very sweet little thing. i also have a very large, very rowdy 1 year old catahoula leopard hound crossed with chocolate lab. hes a very good dog, very friendly. but hes such a klutzy oaf, and gets very rough when he plays with other dogs, i always tell him to settle down when he gets too rough. but anyway, i introduced them and as i expected he immediately wanted to play with it. i asked him to lay down and placed the kitten down beside him. at first he sort of snuffled him and seemed very interested, wagging his tail and all. as the kitten walked around, he followed him. keeping a very close eye on him, his eyes were locked on him and everytime the kitten made a move to go run somewhere he would jump forward as if to chase him but i would snap at him and he would stop and continue to follow him around and just stare him down. im so worried that hes gonna just go for him when im not looking. i would never trust him with him but like if he got out and i didnt know im not sure if he would do anything. what do i do ??

You need to spend some cash. You go to a good salon, get a good haircut regularly, and have the stylist suggest product for your type of hair. You wash regularly and use product. If you use sparingly, they last long. Or get the name and buy a copy from a beauty supply store. Watch how he/she styles the hair, and what they use. I apply special oil, before styling my hair, and end with Brilliant, which is a cream for shine, and spray with more shine product. You will have to get the old hair cut off, as it is damaged. They can still give you a long look with layers. but don't be shy about keeping up with your hair grooming needs.

I don't think it's broken, maybe just sore. Believe me, if it was broken, you would be in serious pain... I should know. I broke my tailbone. Twice. Maybe you should sit down less, especially on hard surfaces. Use a cushion when you sit down. You could try pain relievers but idk... Feel better :)

I like fresh, clean smelling & lighter scents that won't smack everyone that I walk by in the face. Lol Ya kno? I'm also into sandalwood, pachouli, but not extreme woodsy-ness. Pradas line(not originals but later) appeals to my senses, as does Burberry Brit Sheer. A few more in my perfume box are Versace Bright Crystal, Romance by RL, Tattooed by inky but only the body sprays(Sudden Freedom-purple bottle & A Mi Amor-pink) is my fav inexpensive daily used right now. Very few flowery scents like jasmine appeal to me. Not a fruity/sugary type nose. Tommy girl was my fav as a kid. Lauren by RL is an all time fav as well. What is the easiest way to get a divorce from someone who is not willing to consent?

I have a friend who is separated from her husband and is wanting to obtain a divorce from him. She lives in Alabama has a 2 year old daughter and is also fighting for full custody of the child. The man has physically abused her constantly in the past and tormented her daughter while they were together and she left him and went to Texas for a few months. She recently came back about a month ago because he called her wanting her back (which was a lie). He is wanting custody of the child, although he had nothing to do with her to begin with even while they were in Texas. He is a crack addict and in her terms deemed unfit to father her. He has tried several times to take away the child and they both have restraining orders against each other. She has the child on a safety plan through DHR and can't be with her unsupervised until she is deemed worthy as a parent by them (has a full time job and a home). She recently went to a consultation with a lawyer and he told her that it would be cheaper on her to get him to sit down and agree to a divorce settlement out of court but he will not do such for her. It is gonna take a lot of money that she does not have to take him to court and fight him for the divorce and custody of the child. The man is stubborn and she thinks he is out to make her life more complicated. She wants to get out of her marriage as quickly and easily as possible without having to pay so much money to do so.

Retinal Detachment Surgery?

This is my second question on this subject and I am in my 5 th week after surgery, Buckle and oil. I have not had one day without pain since I had the surgery. From Migraines type headaches to horrible eye pain. The Doctors only add drops while the surface of my eye is scratched and wrinkled. They say the pressure is up and down. The drops are scratching the eye but yet give me nothing to help any of the pain at all.. I have been unable to go outside and cannot stand the sunlight or lights in my house.even after this time.. I want the doctors to take the oil and buckle out now but they insist on leaving it for 3 months. This pain is horrible and I would never have this surgery again. All I am able to do is sit or lay in my house in pain and be sad and depressed. I don't know of anyone who has had this much trouble or pain with this. I feel like it is some problem with the oil, maybe a reaction to it or something, I have tons of allergies and I cannot get the doctors to listen to me. When I have had to visit the surgeons it is a 3 hour ride and it is torture for me, it vibrates my head and makes me very sick, not to mention the sunlight. I hate having to make the trip for the 10 or 15 minute visits, it is such torment. I don't know how many options I have but I 'd like to know if anyone has endured this much pain with this surgery>

Hello, I hope yur enjoying your crested! I personally have 9 Crested geckos and breed them as well. For being a year old your crested should be a bit lnger with his tail. I suggest maybe upgrading his enclosure with something that hasmore height. They will eat the powder you supply but will only eat small amounts of eat during the night, suchsmall amounts that if you only have one per enslocure, most of the time you will not notice that they ate. In addition to the powdr I suggest feeding your cresty small crickets at least twice a week. Make sure you powder them with calcium to get additonal nutrients. Also make sure you hve the encloure at a high humidity, between 70-90 percent.Hope that helped and best of luck to you and your cresty!

Why does my hamster keep getting wet tail?

i got a female syrian who 2 days after purchase had to go back to the store for treatment for wet tail. They kept her in and i got her back just over a week later. Then 6 days after bringing her home, she had it again and so this time the vet gave me the treatment to give her at home. I did this for at least two weeks and she looked like she had cleared up. However, after being clear for maybe 5 days or so, i noticed this morning she has started to get it again. My friends and I were out really early this morning looking at stars and we saw what looked like a moving star. What about black & white bachground with the lime green for high lights. Use the best paint you can afford if painting with black - some are really dodgy! It is black, with a dark tan underbelly. It is 18" - 2ft long. It has very small forelegs and backlegs. The face is rounded and the tail tapers. It was found in the swampy area close to Galveston Texas. I do have a photograph.

Do you considered this abuse or am I overreacting?

First of all, my husband has been abusive (I think) for most of our marriage. I have been scared to leave and other times things get better. He had an affair a few years ago and he agreed to go to counseling. The counselor thought he might be bi-polar so he sent him to a psychiatrist. So okay - that might explain a lot of the violent behavior. I have had my blouses torn, money hidden, car keys taken, phone broken, a cat that we loved thrown outside to be eaten (my daughters cat), tires slashed, a dog we loved thrown off the deck cause he got mad at her, I could go on and on. Threatened that if I left everything would be broken and he would find me. Well since the diagnosis he has been mostly better. I have chalked it up to dealing with a sick man. I have tried to be supportive but I am at my end now. Here is the current situation: my daughter, her boyfriend and their baby moved in temporarily. he had a rule don't leave soft drinks laying around downstairs. thats fine. But he blew up because there was one in the GARBAGE CAN with a lid on it. Then he blew up cause he they left one downstairs overnight. Granted it is lazy not to take it upstairs and throw it away. the boyfriend was lazy a few times - but he did throw them away the next day. well before the final blow up, my cat of 14 years was being mistreated by the other bigger cat. according to my husband she was really messed up. So I said separate them, the kids are taking the other cat when the move (which was in a couple of weeks). He said okay - then when I got home from work he told me that the cat was in the field. Huh? apparently he did not separate them and the cat went after the other cat again. well my husband got mad. the cat ran downstairs and hid but my husband yanked him out of his hiding place and strangled him. Too much anger I think. there was no reason for that. He could have put the other one in the crate or in the bedroom til I could get home and take care of it. It was senseless. Then a month later - my kids were packing to move all weekend. everything was okay at this point. we had moved on somewhat. My husband waited til they went to work then went downstairs. mind you everything is in disarray - packing usually does that. Well he saw one can on the desk and flipped. He wrote in red marker on an important document' this don't belong here'. I just begged please let it go - they are moving in 4 days. he said he don't care and he is going to do worse. So he picked a trash can and poured the trash on their floor by their bed (in the walkway) and took another trash bag and put it on their bed and left it there all day. He says it was justified. when my daughter got home she blew up and left abruptly with the baby and said they will never step foot in the house again. And thats been true for 4 months now. She is afraid what my grandbaby will see or hear. or even be hurt. I don't think he will hurt our grandbaby but who knows. I did not think he would kill my cat either. So since I have to go visit my grandbaby where she lives he decided that until I fix it, he is going to torment me about until I break. He said that I have to agree that it was right. and until I do he is going to make argue with me until i break. And he said that since I caused the problem that I have to fix it. doesn't sound like a sane person does it. Okay so I have a cool epic smartphone that is pretty much an attachment to my body. Also my only internet source. Yep. I'm serious. Well wait if the weather is okay or in one room in the front I can piggyback on my laptop. Anyway I was washing my face humming to the radio my phone supposed to be on the counter next to me in the bathroom. Well I dry my face, reach for my phone still humming along and come up empty. So I look around can't find it. Then I notice my favorite cat playing with something in the tub. Now this cat is really smart ...and a real brat. He plays this game a lot. Taking my things. So I just sigh and reach for him. He picks it up with his teeth and starts to run. However a phone doesn't hold well in a cats teeth. So he ends up smashing it apart dropping it into A NASTY MOLDY VENT BACK BY THE TOILET. I have to get gloves to pull it out. I'm a total germaphobe not to mention highly allergic to mold and that's why normally I don't even use that bathroom because a pipe busted we fixed it but didn't have money to tear out the damage behind the toilet. Can't do it ourselves as the allergy to mold is incredibly severe and genetic. And so I decided that I was just gonna say I lost it. But then I remembered I'm broke. Also can only file insurance on phones 3 times a year or whatever and I'm on the 1st file but the 10th phone. (I DON'T KNOW I SWEAR THEY JUST DIE! They could only make me file it once because I'd broken the screen BEFORE it broke so they didn't believe it was different incidents. The other times they couldn't figure out anything at all wrong with it and no damage....it just fried out so they had to pay for it and replace for free. But I'll probably accidentally break the screen or something again and they'll make me file and pay for it when it breaks for another different reason.) So I need those allowances there and don't want an unnecessary claim. So I decided that I would attempt a scrub down sterilization and if it survived I would keep it. If not I'd file. So I took the casing parts scrubbed with Dial, then hydrogen peroxide, then alcohol. I did same with battery and other. But for the main phone screen I knew that soaping it up and rinsing would kill it. So I did hydrogen peroxide and alcohol and then wet ones then germ x. Then dumped gloves and original towels. Threw Lysol on the rest and scrubbed my hands raw. Then dried and powered up. Anyway everything seems to be and is totally fine. Nothing wrong with the way the phone types, works, the SD card, the keys, the charger port, speaker....NOTHING. Just dandy. EXCEPT OF COURSE.....it smells like Dial, Alcohol, Germ-X and Wet. Ones. Do hide-away strobe lights effect insurence rates in Ohio?

I recently joined a local Fire Dept that is a volunteer FD and EMS company. I will be responding to Ems and Fire calls from over 2.5 miles away. I recently bought a WOLO 4 light lightning 2 strobe kit, and am having it installed on my 99' F150. I'm wandering if it will effect insurance rates, or does it even need mentioned to insurance that they are installed on the vehicle? They are, after all, hide away strobes. They are installed in the headlights and tail lights of the truck, and don't stick out. They are only activated with the switch installed in the cab of the truck. Anyone know?

Why won't my kitten leave me alone?!?

I know this sounds mean, but, it's the truth. I got a new kitten today and she is 8 weeks old. I named her Harlow and she is so sweet and adorable. It definitely didn't take long for her to adjust to me or her new enviornment, because she's into EVERYTHING and won't leave my side. My mom put food, water, a litterbox, toys, and a bed in a seperate bedroom because my bedroom door won't shut all the way and there's nowhere else for her to go where the older cats and dog won't torment her. But when I put her in there, all she did was meow until I let her out, and now she won't stop following me. Everytime I even leave to go to the bathroom, she cries and runs after me. Why won't she leave me alone and just go to sleep or something? D:

Lip piercing: Should I go for it or not (plz read details)...?

it hardly hurt me at all, of course there was some pain, its not as if your not going to realize a needle going through your lip but its deferentially not unbearable. it'll be really really annoying the first few days as you tend to bite the back of the piercing alot but you get used to it quickly and soon forget about it. its only a tiny little hole so it wont leave a really big scar. i hardly noticed one of my friends lip piercings scars until they told me and i actually looked for it ( she took it out and it healed in to a little mark). if you keep haveing second thoughts then its probably best to leave it for a while untill you reach a proper decision or not get it done at all. :) hope this helps

So when I do showmanship and square my horse, he always rests a back leg (either one). The only way I can make him stand on it right is to pull his tail or sometimes it works to raise his head a little bit. Do you know any ways to make a horse stand up right, without resting a hind leg?

How to make dog realize he pissed me off by chewing on furniture?

my dog is a golden retriever + golden lab and he likes chewing on stuff, ALL KINDS OF STUFF. clothes, tools, plastic, pillows, everything. my parents get so pissed. we probably lost over 500$ for all the stuff he ate/chewed on. wat can i do to make him realize never to do it again? and i dont think smacking him and shouting at him is effective. whenever i smack him or scold him all he does is smile back and wag his tail or dodge my smack and do the same thing. i dont want my parents to take him away...

Unloving wild cat of mine?

My cat was the same way;; I rescued him from a pet store of all places. He was only 4 weeks, covered in fleas and sores, had the runs, and wasnt eating hard food;; cats love the outdoors and naturally want to go out to explore, I tried keeping mine in as well for I was scared he would get hurt by an animal or vehicle and even another person. He has random moments where his eyes get really big and he bites and doesn't let go. Perhaps taking him outside, maybe on a leash or in a playpen type setup wouldn't be a bad idea-- as for the attacking, he may very well be playing, he just doesn't grasp that hes hurting you while doing so. Give him treats when he does good and punish him (not like you would a dog obv) when he does bad.

I want another tattoo, but where should it go?

I have a small red heart with swirls kind of behind it on my right shoulder. I want to get a flower tattoo next and the only thing i keep coming up with is to put it on my other shoulder, but I'm afraid it will look weird having two totally different tattoos on either side. I was thinking of maybe putting it more on my upper shoulder and down my arm slightly so you would only see part of it from my back, but i'm afraid since it will have to be covered for work. Any suggestions? Would it look awkward having different tattoos basically right next to each other? Or where else could I put a flowery type thing that can be hidden at work?

Hair is too short! What to do?

So I had my hair about to the center of my back. It was pretty long and nice, I went to the hair salon and asked for a trim and some thinning because I have really thick hair and a few long layers. What she ended up doing was butchering my hair, she kept trying to fix it, it took more than an hour! In the end she had ruined it, my hair looked like a mullet. So I had my sister who is a cosmetologist fix it, she said the only way was to remove the "tail" the previous hair dresser left. She did and now, my hair is ridiculously short! It's right at my ears :( I'm slightly chunky so it does not look good with my round face at all. Idk what to do! :(

It's been 13 days & my 2 Red-tailed Boa's are still not eating, help!?

So I got 2 RTB's on May 17th of 2011, they were 18'' long, one being a male and one female. The breeder said they will need to eat on that day in which i picked them up but they did not. I had them both housed together in a 55gal tank but from what I hear it may cause stress and cause them not to eat. However, I customized the tank a little bit and put a divider in the middle to separate the 2 for now until I build their enclosure. After the renovation I left the snakes alone for 2days without handling them, and this morning tried to feed the female because she was slithering around so I gave it a shot but it was a no go. Tomorrow will be 14days they have not ate. Im just getting worried, I mean these are 2 beautiful snakes and I really want the best for them. They still look healthy,about 21'' long, no bubbles or signs of breathing issues. I do see them drinking water from time to time also. Can anyone help me out or has anyone dealt with this before? I know force feeding is the last result and that's not a thought in my head yet but I mean if I have to result to that then I guess I must. I look forward to your answers, thank you.
